Principal's Message

Welcome to Plano Elementary!

The school year is already off to an exciting start! Our students recently completed their beginning-of-the-year math and reading screeners, and we are so proud of the effort they put into showing what they know. After reviewing their results, each child set a Wildly Important Goal (WIG) to guide their learning this year. These goals help students take ownership of their progress and celebrate the growth they achieve along the way.

On September 5th, we had the joy of welcoming over 300 grandparents to campus for a special breakfast. It was inspiring to see our hallways filled with generations of Panther pride, as grandparents shared in the joy of learning and leadership with their loved ones.

Our students have also been busy interviewing for school-wide leadership roles, from safety patrol to morning announcement leaders. These opportunities give children real-world experiences in responsibility, collaboration, and service. At Plano, we place a high priority on teaching not only academic excellence but also the soft skills—communication, teamwork, and confidence—that will help our students thrive for years to come.

I am grateful for the support of our families and community as we build strong foundations together. Here’s to a year full of growth, leadership, and Panther pride!

Each Child. Each Day.
